STANFORD traveled to Vanderbilt where they lost a close one 9-10. They came home to take their rivals CALIFORNIA in a thrilling 11-10 victory. Senior Nina Pantano scored three goals and sophomore Michelle DeChant tallied the game winning goal with just over seven minutes remaining. California held a late 10-9 lead over Stanford but allowed two goals to lose 11-10, to the host Cardinal. Junior Leanne Zilioli and sophomore Laura Cavallo scored two goals apiece to lead the Golden Bears. UC DAVIS captured a 9-7 away win over St. Josephs. Sophomore attacker Katie McMahon scored three goals and assisted on the game-winner as UC Davis overcame a 5-3 halftime deficit. DENVER ended a seven-game skid with an 11-9 win at American University. Junior Steph Greenlees scored five goals in the win. The Pioneer dropped a 9-7 decision at George Washington University. Senior goalkeeper Steph Schneider made 17 saves in the cage in the loss. OREGON lost on the road to No. 3 North Carolina 21-8. One day later, looking for its first road win of the season, Oregon scored 12 unanswered goals to begin the game as the Ducks eventually demolished Davidson 16-6.. Nine Ducks scored in the game. ST MARY’S posted a non-conference road loss to Duquesne 2-19.
