Senior Adam Goodwin Named Great Western Lacrosse League Player of the Week
Senior earns his first career Player of the Week honor

DENVER- University of Denver men’s lacrosse senior midfielder Adam Goodwin (Columbus, Ohio) was named Great Western Lacrosse Player of the Week, it was announced by league officials today. It is the first honor for Goodwin this season and his first career Player of the Week honor. Goodwin is the second Pioneer to win the award this season, teammate Geoff Snider (Calgary, Alberta) earned the award March 1 for his performance at the Pioneer Face-Off Classic.

Goodwin earned the honor for his performance last weekend in the Pioneers’ 17-8 win over Quinnipiac in their GWLL opener. Goodwin tallied a season-high and career-high five goals in the victory and picked up two groundballs. He also tallied his first hat-trick of the season and added two assists against Bellarmine on April 7, for a 10 point weekend.

Goodwin is third on the team in points (23), goals (17) and assists (6). He leads the team in shots with 75 and shots on goal with 34.

The Pioneers return to action this Friday April 14 when they take on GWLL foe, Notre Dame. Face-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. (MT).
