Falcons Set To Compete In Lacrosse For Leukemia Event

Baltimore, Md. - The Air Force lacrosse team will be in action this weekend, Sept. 30, at the ninth-annual Price Modern Lacrosse for Leukemia Tournament, being held at the St. Paul’s School in Brooklandville, Md. Admission for the event is $5.

The Falcons will start the day with a contest versus Albany at 8:30 a.m., followed by a game against St. John’s at 10:10 a.m. Other teams competing in the tournament are Binghamton, Butler, Johns Hopkins, Mt. St. Mary's, North Carolina, Penn State, Quinnipiac, Rutgers, Syracuse, Towson, UMBC, Villanova and Washington College.

All proceeds for the event will go to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to help raise money to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's Disease and myeloma, as well as to improve the quality of life for patients and their families. Additionally, each team will play in honor of a local youth ambassador who has survived or is currently undergoing treatment for a blood cancer.
