Stanford Opens With Three MPSF Wins
DENVER (1-3, 1-0) earned their first win of the season, defeating Mountain Pacific Sports Federation foe Oregon, 17-12, last Friday. The Pioneers also dropped a 20-9 decision to No. 3 Northwestern on Sunday. OREGON lost to Denver and No. 3 ranked Northwestern 2-21. Jana Bradley scored one in the loss and leads the Ducks with seven goals for the season. CALIFORNIA lost a heartbreaker to James Madison 10-11 for the Bears first outing of the season. Molly Brady scored a hat trick and teammate Laura Cavallo had four assists in the loss. UC Davis and St. Mary’s were rained out. Stanford was idle for the week.
