Geoff Snider Earns Great Western Lacrosse League Player of the Week Nod
Snider earns his first player of the week honor this season

DENVER- University of Denver men’s lacrosse senior midfielder Geoff Snider (Calgary, Alberta) was named Great Western Lacrosse League Player of the Week as announced by league officials today. This is the first honor for Snider this season and is his first career Player of the Week honor.

Snider earned the honor for his performance in the Pioneer Face-Off Classic Feb. 25-26. Snider led the Pioneers to wins over Manhattan and No. 13 North Carolina. In DU’s 19-2 victory over Manhattan he tallied two goals and one assist and picked up 13 groundballs and won 15-of-18 face-offs. He continued his excellent play in the Pioneers’ 11-8 upset victory over No. 13 North Carolina, where he tallied another goal, picked up eight groundballs and was 12-of-21 from the face-off circle.

The Pioneers will return to action March 4 when they take on Colgate in the second game of a doubleheader with the DU women’s lacrosse team. Face-off is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. in Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium.
