Pavoni Named GWLL Player Of The Week

USAFA, Colo. - Air Force senior goalkeeper Justin Pavoni (Park City, Utah) was named the Great Western Lacrosse League Player of the Week for the week of March 13-21, as announced Tuesday morning. It marks the first such honors for the defending conference goalkeeper of the year.

Pavoni, who saw action in the first half of the Falcons’ 12-8 home victory over Siena last Tuesday, was recognized primarily for his performance in a 13-8 win over 16th-ranked Dartmouth Saturday in Ridgefield, Conn. Pavoni recorded 16 saves and five ground balls in the win, while holding the Big Green, which had averaged 13 goals per game in its first four contests, to a season-low eight goals.

Pavoni and his teammates return to action this Saturday, March 25, when they host St. John’s in non-conference action.
