Geoff Snider Earns Second Great Western Lacrosse League Player of the Week Nod
Pioneers take on Air Force April 29 in season finale

DENVER- University of Denver men’s lacrosse senior midfielder Geoff Snider (Calgary, Alberta) was named Great Western Lacrosse League Player of the Week as announced by league officials today. This is the second honor for Snider this season who also earned the award on March 1. Teammate Adam Goodwin (Columbus, Ohio) earned Player of the Week honors on April 12.

Snider earned the honor for his performance in the Pioneers’ two road victories over Ohio State and Butler April 21 and 23. In DU’s 13-9 win over Ohio State Snider tallied one goal and one assist while going 21-of-25 from the face-off circle. Against Butler he tallied a season-high four assists and picked up a team-high 10 groundballs. He was 14-of-19 from the face-off circle. Snider is currently third on the team in points with 30 points on 20 goals and 10 assists. He also leads the nation in groundballs per game, picking up 11.73 per game and face-off win percentage (.697).

The NCAA tournament bound Pioneers conclude the regular-season April 29 when thy head to Colorado Springs to take on instate rival Air Force. Face-off is scheduled for 1 p.m. (MT).
