DU Men’s Lacrosse Names 2007 Captains

Hahn, Barcus, Zordani and Koll to lead Pioneers next season

DENVER – Seniors Brandon Barcus (Dublin, Ohio), Ryan Zordani (Littleton, Colo.) and David Hahn (Aurora, Colo.) and junior Brett Koll (Fort Collins, Colo.) were named team captains for the 2007 University of Denver men’s lacrosse team, announced today by head coach Jamie Munro.

Barcus finished second on the team with 25 goals and tied for second in scoring with 33 points. He led the team with five man-up goals and three game-winning goals. Barcus netted a career-high six goals in DU’s 13-5 win over Bellarmine on April 7.

Zordani led the team with career highs in points (39), assists (20) and groundballs (41). He tallied career highs in points (7) and goals (4) in a 14-11 win over Drexel on March 28. He added hat tricks against North Carolina and Butler.

Hahn is one DU’s most-skilled players. He helped limit opponents to just 7.82 goals per game. Hahn chipped in 34 groundballs and added two goals and one assist in 14 games.

Koll captured the Team Spirit Award for the second consecutive season. The Fort Collins native tallied 20 points on 10 goals and 10 assists. He added 24 ground balls and tallied his first career hat trick in DU's 11-8 win over Bucknell on April 16.

“We have four fine captains who are dedicated student-athletes and talented lacrosse players,” Munro said. “They are ready to take this program to the next level.”
