Falcons To Take Part In The 2007 “First 4”

USAFA, Colo. - The Air Force lacrosse team will take part in one of the premier events of the NCAA season, when it heads to San Diego, Calif., for the third annual First 4 on March 10. The First 4, which features Air Force, Duke, Loyola and Yale this year, is an early season Spring Invitational designed to showcase the top Division I men’s college lacrosse programs in the country.

For the second-straight year, the First 4 will be held at the University of San Diego’s Torero Stadium, one of the region’s finest soccer/multi-purpose facilities, and in a high growth region of lacrosse participation. The invitational will feature a pair of games, starting with the match-up between Loyola and Duke, followed by the Air Force-Yale contest.

Both games will be televised by CSTV, which televises more college sports than any other network and is national broadcast partner of US Lacrosse.

The event will also include the highly anticipated “High School Challenge,” featuring battles between the top high school programs in the state.

Air Force opens the 2007 season on Feb. 25 with a home contest versus Siena.
