Outlaws Announce “Sunday Sessions” and “Stix for Tix” Programs
Partnership with Dick’s Sporting Goods to benefit less fortunate – Develop lacrosse

DENVER – (June 21, 2006) – The Denver Outlaws of Major League Lacrosse on Wednesday announced two community initiatives, “Sunday Sessions” and “Stix for Tix.”

“Sunday Sessions” will provide fans a chance to meet, ask questions of and play lacrosse with various members of the Denver Outlaws. Fans can register by sending their information reserving a spot for the session of their choice.

The Sunday Sessions will be held on June 25 and July 23 with each session starting at 10 a.m. and lasting two hours at INVESCO Field at Mile High.

“Stix for Tix” encourages lacrosse players to donate their used lacrosse sticks to be used at “Sunday Sessions” before being donated to the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colorado. Sticks will be collected at local Dick’s Sporting Goods Stores starting immediately.

The program encourages lacrosse players to bring used lacrosse sticks to any Dick’s Sporting Goods store in the Denver-metro area. The sticks will be collected and distributed to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colorado. For each donated lacrosse stick, fans will receive a pair of tickets to an upcoming Denver Outlaws game, along with a coupon for 10% off a purchase of new lacrosse gear from Dick’s Sporting Goods.

Denver Outlaws General Manager Brian Reese said, “Since day one, a major goal of the Outlaws has been to develop the sport of lacrosse in the community. The Outlaws have partnered locally with Dick’s Sporting Goods to create a program called ‘Stix for Tix’ that puts lacrosse sticks in the hands of kids who may not be fortunate enough to purchase them.”

"Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colorado is proud to partner with the Denver Outlaws and Dick's Sporting Goods for the Stix for Tix campaign,” Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colorado Community Relations Manager Michael McCubbin said. “Sports can play a tremendous role in youth development and this campaign will bring lacrosse to a new audience of deserving kids. We really appreciate the support the Outlaws and Dick's are giving our community's kids."
